Accessibility
Pain Medicine WA treats many people whose pain or neurological condition affects mobility, communication or endurance. Access is part of how the practice is run, not an afterthought.
At the rooms
- The Mount Lawley rooms are fully wheelchair accessible.
- Disabled parking is available at the front of the clinic and in the car park next to it.
- If you need assistance from your car, extra time, a particular chair or position because of pain, or anything else that would make the visit easier — tell us when booking and we will arrange it.
- You are welcome to bring a family member, carer or support person into your appointment.
Communication
- If English is not your preferred language, tell us when booking so interpreting arrangements can be made.
- For people with hearing impairment, the National Relay Service can connect calls to the practice (accesshub.gov.au).
- Appointments accommodate communication, memory or fatigue difficulties — common after brain injury — and information from family and carers is welcomed. Plans are provided in writing.
If travel is the barrier
Telehealth consultations are available for rural and remote patients, and procedures are day cases at hospitals with full accessibility. If getting to Perth, or getting through a full day, is the obstacle — raise it when booking rather than delaying the referral.
